He is survived by: his parents, Deryl Nissen and Deborah Nissen (Willis); his sons, Zachary (Mckenzie Nissen) of Hampton, Jeremy Nissen (Kaylee Hanke) of Aurora and Colby Nissen (Hailey Kenney) of Aurora; his brother Dustin; his sister-in-law Amy Nissen of Marquette; his former wife Amy Nissen of Aurora; his uncles, Lanny Nissen of Lincoln and Dan; and his aunt Jeri Willis of Kearney. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and a nephew, a great nephew and a great niece, and many, many friends.

Memorials may be given to the family for designation at a later date.
