It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Mae Gerdes (Auburn, Nebraska), who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Frerichs and Mildred Frerichs (Harpham); her son Barry; her husband Milburn Gerdes; and her brother-in-law Ted Whitfield.
She is survived by: her son Clayton Gerdes (Kim) of Humboldt, NE; her grandsons, Trevor Gerdes (Tessica) of Auburn, NE, Garret Gerdes (Paula) of Gretna, NE and Tyler Gerdes (Arica Alexander) of Auburn, NE; her great grandchildren, Hanna, Layna, Grayson, Kaylin and Adilyn; and her sister Verna Whitfield of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
