He was predeceased by: his parents, Verden North and Velma North (Wagner); his grandfather Ray; his sister Julia Ogren (Judy); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Cope, Wilmer Ogren (Will) and Galen Conn.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Lechliter; his children, Suzanne Whisler (Jerald) and James North (Julie); his grandchildren, Dan Whisler (LaNett), Trent Whisler (Kayleigh), Reese Whisler, Ruby Monfelt, Emalee North and Macee North; his great grandchildren, Talan, Vada, Daphne, Elliott and Charles; his sister Ruth Cope; and his sister-in-law Marna Conn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home (801 S St, Auburn, NE 68305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (1205 L St, Auburn, NE 68305).
Memorials are suggested to Auburn First United Methodist Church, Auburn Rescue Squad, or Good Samaritan Society-Auburn.
