He is survived by: his wife Jane of Brownville; his children, Tony, Marilyn Smith of Omaha, Paul Smith of Omaha, James R., Jr., Lisa Smith of Brownville, Kenny, Angelia Smith of Liberty, MO, Dr. Christina (PhD), Derrick Chatman of Milledgeville, GA and Leya Smith of Brownville; and his grandchildren, Thomas (Clarisa Smith), Robert Kaelin, Sandra (JoAnne Kaelin), Andrew Smith, Kyle Thompson, Evan Smith, Elizabeth Tut, Aiden Smith and DJ Chatman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
