He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Roger Clarke. He is survived by: his brother Clyle; his siblings-in-law, Erma Faye LaVigne, Marietta Epler and John Epler; his wife Bette Epler of Brock; his son Todd; his daughter-in-law Stacy LaVigne of Lincoln; his daughter Kimberly Comstock of Brock; his grandchildren, Megan Hanson (Sean), Alexis Hahn (Tyler) and Kendall Sombke (Destin); his great grandchildren, Emmett, Gavin, Aiyah, Betsy and Wells; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Epler, Joe, Linda Epler, Nancy Clarke, Carol, Sid Bruggeman and Mary Lilly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials are suggested to Auburn Christian Church.
