It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene E. Volkmer of Auburn, Nebraska, born in Dunbar, Nebraska, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman Roos and Ruth Roos (Petersen); her husband Keith J. Volkmer; and her sister Joanne Ryans. She is survived by: her children, Amy, Colleen Volkmer (Loren Entz) of Brownville, NE, Kent Volkmer (Lorie) of Auburn, NE and Brian Volkmer of Nebr; her grandchildren, Sarah Zak (Gerard) and Kevin Volkmer (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Jameson Zak and Madeline Volkmer; and her sisters, Marjorie Coble of Valentine, NE, Kathleen Petersen of Cheyenne, WY and Diane Schomerus (Ron) of Nebr.
Memorials may be given to Southeast Nebraska Cancer Memorial Garden-Humboldt, NE, Catholic Social Services or Otoe County Historial Society-Syracuse, NE.
