He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Heidzig and Lorene Heidzig (Hobleman); his grandparents, Henry and Mary Heidzig; and his sister Barbara Jean Daniels.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Oakley Heidzig; his children, Pamela Heidzig, Doreen Gulizia (Tom), Nicol Heidzig and Chad Heidzig (Danielle); his stepchildren, Darren Jorgensen, Kym Jorgensen (Cristina), Helen Debus (Greg), Shelly Pierce (Harvey), Sonia Black (Richard) and Dr. Dan Jorgensen (Amy); and his brother Robert Heidzig (Lora). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
Memorials suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or American Legion Post #23 of Auburn.
