She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Mehlin and Nora Mehlin (Clark); her husband Keith R. Root; her siblings, Merle, Bob (Lola), Don and Carol Nanninga; her sons, Ted and Mike; and her sons-in-law, Francis Mangnall and Charlie Bean.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Root (Ann) of Kansas, Debbie Bean of Auburn, Peggy Lotter (Wayne) of Brownville, Tish Sparr (Mike) of Lincoln and Susan Charbonnet (Shane) of Auburn; her daughter-in-law Diane Root of Lincoln; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Mehlin of Humboldt, Terrie Mehlin of Florida and Chuck Nanninga of Humboldt. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to Auburn Rescue Squad or Auburn Volunteer Fire Department.
