He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Seger and Blanche Seger; his wife Karen; his son-in-law Mark Schindler; and his grandson Reid Miller.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Gossman (Dave) of Neligh, Patricia Skrdla (Joseph) of Atkinson, Leo Seger (Vickie) of Atkinson, Sandra Schrunk (Harlan) of Atkinson, Michele Moser (Doug) of Omaha, Peg (Schindler), Wemhoff of Norfolk, Tami Kaup (Joseph) of Norfolk and Matthew Seger of Lake Elsinore, CA; and his siblings, Patty Callahan of Omaha, Margaret Burkholder (Gary) of Yutan, NE, Mary Wagman of Atkinson, Phyllis Scholz (Marvin) of Stuart, NE, Florence Kaup of Omaha, NE, Judy Steimle (Gene) of Omaha, NE, Janet Davis (Mike) of Omaha, NE, Carol Charvat (Frank) of Omaha, NE and Ralph Kaup of Atkinson. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren.
