We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2023, at the age of 82, Mary Agnes Vanderbeek of Atkinson, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred G. Schaaf and Agnes Schaaf (Barnes); her son Mark Vanderbeek; and her brothers, Lonnie Schaaf, Tom Schaaf and Alfred "Bud" Schaaf.
She is survived by: her husband Elvin J. "Alex" Vanderbeek of Stuart; her sons, Myron Vanderbeek of Atkinson, Marty Vanderbeek of Atkinson, Mike Vanderbeek (Laura) of Atkinson and Richard Vanderbeek of Denver; her grandchildren, Kendra Vanderbeek, Mary Vanderbeek, Alyssa Vanderbeek, David Vanderbeek (Marissa), Gina Bourquin (Larry), Chase Harrison and Josh Chesler (Precious); her siblings, Richard Schaaf of Omaha, Anita Babutzke of Atkinson, Randy Schaaf (Lynette) of Stuart, Gayle Jungman (Roger) of Atkinson, Daniel Schaaf (Nancy) of Hamilton and Patricia Hamik (Tom) of Atkinson; and her sister-in-law Judy Schaaf of Atkinson. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
