It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Slaymaker of Atkinson, Nebraska, born in Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Day and Cinthia Day (Gravitt); her husband Vernon Elmer Slaymaker; and her siblings, Manuel Day, Lina Day Pirkle, Inis Clair Day, Andy Clide Day, Mary Lue Day, William Leroe Day, Alvious Jasper Day, Earl Nimrod Day, Francis E. Day, Winford Y. Day, Carrie Day, Cynthia E. Day and Luella Day.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Slaymaker of Rulison, CO, Patty (Mike Babutzke) of O'Neill and Mary of Atkinson. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Seger Funeral Home (302 W State St, Atkinson, NE 68713). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
