He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Jonak and Cashmere Jonak (Stanczyk); his son-in-law Steve Badura; his grandchildren, Meagan Smith, Taylor and Logan Cooper; and his siblings, Luana Salerno, Lambert Jonak, Reginald Jonak and Emmanuel Jonak.
He is survived by: his wife Renee A. Gappa of Ashton; his children, Bonnie Badura of Ashton, Nancy (Steve Johnson), Cheryl (Darwin Dimmitt), Joe, Diane Jonak of Elba, Denise (Mike Smith) and Meredith (Troy Lindstrom); and his brother Virgil Jonak of Shelley, ID.. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are suggested to "Friends of Paplin" and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
