She is survived by: her daughter Dianne; her son-in-law Reg Lindholm of Tampa, FL; her son Robert; her daughter-in-law Liz Brahatcek of Ashton; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Ben Bruning, Anna, Jesse James, Raquel Bloom, Connor Brahatcek and Colin Brahatcek; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Kylee, Ethan, Leah, Madalyn, Alexis, Macy and Allison; her sister Ramona Fredrick of Ashton; and her sister-in-law Rose Ross of St. Paul.

“Kenneth S. Tuma: One time when we were visiting to Nebraska we had to 'make a run ' to Grand Island. Darlene asked me to drive her station wagon; we were on our way down Highway 281 when suddenly a large tractor appeared out of a row of trees and began to cross the four lane right in front of us. I hit the brakes so hard and fast that the car practically stood on its front bumper - there were kids in the back seat. She was glad I was driving as she felt she would probably have hit the tractor.”
