He is survived by: his wife Ruth (Mencke); his sons, Douglas (LuAnne), Michael, David (Jennifer) and Matthew (Kris); his brother Gene (Clairice); his siblings-in-law, Steve Mencke (Jaccie) and Lois Gnuse; his grandchildren, Amber Ward, Adam Houghtelling, Hope Ziegler, Aiden Gnuse, Samuel Gnuse, Reid Gnuse, Eliana Gnuse, Elijah Gnuse and Ezekiel Gnuse; and his great grandchildren, Chandler Ward, Makenzie Ward, Anghus Houghtelling, Remi Ziegler and Fisher Ziegler.
