He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Staab and Opal Staab (Bennett); his grandson Wesley Sell; his brothers, Bernard and Charles (John); and his brother-in-law Andrew Sherbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Lola; his children, Carolyn Sell (Brad) of Arcadia, William Staab (Teresa) of Arcadia, Donna Pierson (Conn) of Arcadia, Penny Zauha (Dean) of Norfolk and Linda Johnson (Mike) of Kearney; his siblings, Ed (Roberta) of Clarksville, TN, Harry (Joan) of Kearney, Rollie (Gloria) of Ord, Larry (Priscilla) of Crown Point, IN, Della Gehrt (Dick) of Elm Creek and Phyllis Samp of Ansley; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Staab of Kearney, Melissa Staab (Sam) of Turner, OR and Gene Sherbeck (Judy) of Ravenna. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Arcadia Rescue Unit, Arcadia American Legion Post 251 or the Arcadia United Methodist Church.
