We bid farewell to Mary Lou Petersen (Arcadia, Nebraska), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Mary Lou touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Magnus Pearson and Mary Gates (Evans); her stepfather Earl Gates; her siblings, Robert Parker, Gene Parker, Donald Parker, Gladys Scott, Marilyn Lewandowski, Nancy Einspahr and Norma Reichstein; and her grandson Parker Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Rich Gappa (Julie) of Kearney, Tanya Munson (Curt) of Elkhorn, Sloan Anderson (Bill) of Omaha, Lance Heikel (Marti) of Hazard, Lindsay Murdock (Chad) of Waterloo and Kash Petersen (Ashley) of Merna; her grandchildren, Jake, Chase, Cinch, Connor, Jaci, Keira, Riggin, Roen, Ryce, Emma, Rydok, Addison, Ryver, Jamisyn, Karsyn and Kamerynn; and her siblings, Connie Stewart of Cairo, Vicki Hanks (Larry) of Kearney, Alice Gibson of Monte Vista, CO and Larry Pearson (Audrey) of Moreno Valley, CA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Mary Lou's name to support causes close to her heart.
