She was predeceased by: her husband Keith Hogg; her siblings, LeRoy Patterson (Bette), Doug Patterson (Evelyn), Dick Patterson (Irene), Hazel Hookstra (Paul), Veryl Fowler (Dave), Patt Nordholm (Pete) and Betty Jane Patterson; and her grandson Nick Ryan.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne Hogg (Linda) of Menomonie, WI, Marilee Kulhanek (Jim) of Kearney, Beverly Deaver (Gary) of Ansley, Shirley Ryan of Overton, Julie Ostrand (Neil) of Mason City and Janet Slack (Craig) of Ansley. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and spouses, more than 50 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Acquiring a quality education was a high priority to her, consequently the family has designated memorial funds be directed toward a scholarship fund in Marilyn's name.
