John Lewis Covalt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, at the age of 92, John Lewis Covalt of Angora, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Lewis Covalt to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to John Lewis' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration John Lewis has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Covalt and Lewis Covalt of Angora, NE.; his siblings, Elaine Reece (Charles) and Lanny Covalt; and his son-in-law Bill Spilker.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Covalt; and his children, Corinne Spilker of Malcolm, NE, Roger Covalt of Lincoln, NE and Sharon Harshman (Dan) of Lincoln, NE.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his stepchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (266 Wehn St, Broadwater, NE 69125).
It is respectfully requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Broadwater Fire Department.
