He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert A. Steinhauser and Ethel Steinhauser (Anderson); his sisters, Karen Ann Steinhauser, Sharon Kay Steinhauser, Connie Kreutzer and Reva Wempen; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Wempen, Gary Halliwel, Albin Shubert, Andy Schroeder and Kathy Steinhauser.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Steinhauser of Kearney; his daughter Alice Thomsen (Kent) of Axtell; his grandchildren, Lindsay Thomsen (Zach Wigder) of Omaha and Dylan Thomsen (Krystin) of Humphrey; his stepgranddaughter Audra Akhurst (Darren) of Walterboro, SC; his great grandchildren, Hallie Thomsen, Marlow, Sloane and Peyton Akhurst; his brother Dan Steinhauser of Kearney; and his brother-in-law Don Kreutzer of Amherst. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Amherst Volunteer Fire Department.
