She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Haeker (Rider) and Carl R. Haeker; her husband Donald Calkins; and her sisters, Eileen Streff and Marvel McCraken.
She is survived by: her children, Raetha Nelsen (John) of Alma and Rick Calkins (Dianne) of Alma; her grandchildren, Patrick Calkins (Jennifer) of Alma, Sophie Meyer (Cole) of Omaha, Evie Smith (Kevin Landau) of Littleton, Colorado, Shauna Fleming (Chuck) of Lincoln and Ryan McGinty (Raquel) of Honolulu, Hawaii; and her stepgrandchildren, Joanna Clark (Justin) of Alma, Jake Nelsen of Kearney, Sammy Babcock (Travis) of Fort Collins, Colorado and JC Nelsen of Alma. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial has been established in Mildred's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
