With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Schippert of Alma, Nebraska, who passed away on November 6, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marje; his granddaughter Angela Sindelar; his niece Kimberly Schippert; his nephew Larry Waggoner; and his siblings-in-law, Averil Savery (Gilbert), Bill Waggoner, Howard Losey, Gordon Busboom, Butch DeBerard and Ron Wills.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel, Lisa Overleese (Tom) of Republican City and Dann Schippert (Matt Ely) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his grandchild Sami Bradley (Jake); his children, Natalie Hein (Darren), Eric Overleese, Sheana Overleese and Jimmy Sindelar (Hannah); his great grandchild Karsten; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jaelyn, Jackson, Anniston Bradley, Calvin, Kennedy, Dakota Hein and Tate Sindelar; his siblings, Rich Schippert (Julie) of Republican City, Vera Losey of Republican City, Joyce Bush (Chuck) of Rogers, Arkansas and Velma DeBerard (Larry Gilman); his son-in-law Jim Sindelar (Julie) of Republican City; and his pet Fred. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
