He was predeceased by: his parent North of Woodruff; his child Jerry Don; his parents-in-law, William and Alta Walker (Baker); his siblings, Mildred Wessels (William), Earl Christensen, Raymond Christensen (LaVern) and Wayne; his siblings-in-law, Floyd Walker (Agatha), Robert Walker (LaDonna), Donald Walker, Margaret Hooper (Lee) and Ruth Inman (Fred); and his son-in-law Verle Finke.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Christensen of Alma; his daughter Kathy Finke (Christensen) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Taylor Finke and Joshua Finke; his son Kirk Christensen (Audrey) of Alma; his grandson Eric Christensen (Katy); his great grandchildren, Faith, Teresa and Evangeline; his grandchildren, Dally, Riggin, Cinch Hendrickson and Heather Webster (Jason); his great grandchildren, Dylan, Deric and Jenna; his grandsons, Trent Christensen and Mitchell Christensen (Tristin); his great grandchild Elise; his son Greg Christensen (Mary Jo) of Alma; his grandchild Ariel Neumeyer (Will); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Josephine and Walker; his grandsons, Austin Christensen and Alan Christensen (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Lennox, Parker, Camreigh and Emersyn; his granddaughter Aimee Petersen (Zane); his great grandchildren, Ace and Zoey; his granddaughter Brandy Johnson (Ben); his great grandchildren, Brynleigh, Bria, Brewin and Brooks; his granddaughter Samantha Tilson (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Haley and Jacob; his son Randy Christensen of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and also June Christensen of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial has been established in Don's honor, and kindly suggested to the Alma United Methodist Church, Holdrege Memorial Homes, or the Harlan County Health System – Clinic Fund.
