He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hallsted (Jim) and Dorothy Hallsted (Hargens); his wife LaDonna Hallsted (Turnbull); and his siblings, David Hallsted and Cecelia Ray (Hallsted).
He is survived by: his children, Carey Ponce (Hallsted) of Hartington, NE and Jc Hallsted of Chadron, NE; his half-brother Donald Harrison; his niece Leslie Worth; and his brother-in-law Charles Turnbull. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
