She was predeceased by: her parents, William Allen and Ruby Allen (Reynolds); her daughter Janet Leonard; and her son-in-law Mike Benitez. She is survived by: her husband William J. Hartwig; her children, Roger Hartwig (Penny) of Alliance, Sherry Covey (Joe) of Moscow, ID, Debra Benitez of Phoenix, AZ, Sonja Beck of Phoenix, AZ and Jill Jurgens (Aaron) of Leon, KS; and her son-in-law Mike Leonard (Carol) of Alliance. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Heartland Baptist Church of Alliance.
