It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark R. Custer of Alliance, Nebraska, born in Wheatland, Wyoming, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his grandson Will; his wife Susan K. Lurz (Chubb); his sons, Matthew Custer (Katie) of Emporia, KS and Mitchell Custer of Manhattan, KS; his stepchildren, Travis Lurz (Shantel) of Alliance and Brittany Schroeder (Garrett) of Grand Island, NE; his grandson William Jett Schroeder; his pet Rhett; his mother Helen Custer of Powell, WY; his sister Connie Hopkins (Tim) of Houston, TX; his niece Casey Hopkins of Dallas, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara and Jim Harms of Valentine, NE..
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral will be for family members only on Friday, January 8 at 10:00 a. m. at the United Methodist Church with Jeanie Sedivy officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Alliance United Methodist Church, Alliance Volunteer Fire Department or to Alliance High School in honor of Mark Custer To plant Memorial Trees in memory of.
