He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Ackerman and Minnie Ackerman (Fraedrich); his wife Mary Louise Moran; his son William; his granddaughter Mynette; and his brothers, Dewayne, Harold and Bill Ackerman.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Talkington (Gary) of Harrisburg, Robert Ackerman and Allan Ackerman (Alexia) of Alliance; his grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Kole, James, Tallan, Alex, Austin, Allanda, Tanya and Myrranda; and his sister Edna Mae Covalt of Angora. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
