He was predeceased by: his parents, William Votruba and Elinor Votruba (Wenske); his siblings, Norabelle Abbott, Annabelle Collins, Delbert, Lloyd, Clifford and Willard; and also, Louie and Tillie Barta.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Marie Barta; his children, Julie Eickhoff (Bill) of Alliance, Colleen Bixby (Bret) of Ellsworth, Greg Votruba and Tim Votruba of Hemingford; his grandchildren, Megan Hobbs (Matt), Clay Bixby and Mace Bixby; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Elijah Hobbs; and his sisters, Lela Jantz, Shirley Stevar (Jim), Bernice Herian and Delphine Campbell (Dale).
Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Volunteer Firefighters Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
