Jody Wegner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jody Wegner (Alliance, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Aschwege and Laura Aschwege; her husband Jim Wegner; her in-laws, Lawrence and Alice Wegner; her son Dave Wegner; her grandchildren, Lindsey Green and Cale Wegner; her granddaughter-in-law Kathleen Thompson; her brothers, Jack Aschwege (Dolly) and Joel Aschwege; and her siblings-in-law, Gib Wegner (Bette Mae) and Virginia Kiburz (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Thompson (Chris) of Brule, NE, Jill Green (Kent) of Alliance, NE, Jenny Dillon (Jerry) of Discovery Bay, CA and Ryan Wegner (Laurie) of Denver, CO.. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bates-Gould Chapel (1020 W 10th St, Alliance, NE 69301).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wiggly Field Dog Park or Brookstone Hospice of Gering.
