He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Wegner and Alice Wegner (Snyder); his son Dave Wegner; his grandchildren, Lindsey Green and Cale Wegner; and his pet Jake.
He is survived by: his former wife Joanne Kay Aschwege; his wife Jody; his children, Kathy Thompson (Chris) of Alliance, Jill Green (Kent) of Alliance, Jenny Dillon (Jerry) of Discovery Bay, CA and Ryan Wegner of Denver; and his grandchildren, Chad Thompson (Sarah), Joe Thompson (Kathleen), Jeff Thompson (Emily), Seth Thompson, Trevor Thompson, Melissa Wozniak (Julian), Andy Wegner (Jessica), Case Wegner, Cody Green (Kayla), Ali Green, Emily Green, Patrick Laing, Katie Dillon, Kenzie Dillon and Dyllin Wegner. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Pillars in the Park, Paws, or VFW all of Alliance.
