He was predeceased by: his parents, George Piihl and Lila Piihl (Simpson); his wife Karen Piihl (Sherlock); his children, Kimberly Piihl, Kelly Adamson (Piihl), Kent, Kevin and Kory Piihl; and his granddaughter Sherrie Williams.
He is survived by: his son Kirt Piihl (Stacy) of South Carolina; and his sisters, Darla Hart, Sharon Hansen (Jim), Jean Smith (Larry) and Cindy Stone (Dave). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
