He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McMurtrey and Edith McMurtrey (Parkhurst); his sister Eva Clements; his nephews, James P. Russell, Mark J Russell and Jay P Clements; and his brothers-in-law, Donald C Matlock, John Clements and William Russell (Bud).
He is survived by: his siblings, Virginia Russell (William), Marie Matlock (Don), Robert McMurtrey (Lola Mae) and Edith Davis. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
