He was predeceased by: his father Norman Sr.; his grandparents, Art Shimp, Nola Shimp, Ernest Blumanthal and Sarah Blumanthal; and his nieces, Angela and Sarah.
He is survived by: his parent Janice Blumanthal (Shimp); his stepfather Paul Schweitzer of Mitchell, NE; and his brothers, Norman Jr. and Mark Blumanthal (Krista) of Alliance. He is also survived by Three nephews, five nieces, eight great nephews, four great nieces, one aunt and numerous cousins.
