He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Olson and Selma Olson; his parents-in-law, Julius and Vivian Freese; and his sister-in-law Carol Flanagan.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie; his children, Chris Olson (Nialie) of Albion, Dan Olson (Jean) of Albion, Laurie Nye (Steve) of Omaha and Julie Putnam (Sean) of Lincoln; his sister Ruth Essink (Doyle) of Chino Valley, AZ; his sister-in-law Karen Cline of LaVista, NE; his grandchildren, Cassandra Olson (Zachary Olson), Nathan Olson (Michelle), Danielle Olson, Jacob Olson (Logan Olson), Amanda Nye Bitting (Bill), Joshua Barnes (Brian Barnes), Victoriya Suvorova (Chel Putnam) and Kailie McDermott (Rylie McDermott); and his great grandchildren, Hailey Olson and Hunter Olson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
