He is survived by: his friend Barber Shop; his wife Linda Thies of Albion; his children, Lisa Osborne (Dave) of O'Neill, Aaron Thies (Megan) of Kearney, Michael (Melissa Riecks) of Genoa and Joseph Thies (Ashley) of Genoa; and his siblings, Pete Thies (Myrna) of Pennsylvania, Louise Weyer (Larry) of Lincoln and Paula Daugherty (Jim) of Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
