It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Allen Belgum of Albion, Nebraska, who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Belgum and Christina Belgum (Nelson); his daughter Denise Nelson; his granddaughter Michala Belgum; his siblings, Gordon Belgum (Mary), Burt Belgum (Dorothy), Carol Strong (Melvin) and Arlene Wallick (Jess); his parents-in-law, William and Mary Nissen; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Von Bonn (Eugene) and Gerald Nissen (Marilyn).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nissen of Albion; his children, Vicki Strain (Terry) of Genoa, Michael Belgum of Shelby, Douglas Belgum (Carolyn) of Cedar Rapids, Eric Belgum (Chris) of Hastings and Allen Belgum (Pamela) of Valparaiso; and his sister-in-law LaVern Nissen (Arlene) of Petersburg. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother.
