He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Mary Anna Leifeld (Reiselman); his wife Elaine Elizabeth Scholl; his daughter Kathy Palmer; and his siblings, Henry, Lawrence Leifeld, Dorothy Leifeld and Marge Atteberry.
He is survived by: his uncle Frank Leifeld; his children, Donna Werner (Bob) of Columbus, Jerry Leifeld (Cindy) of Albion, Connie Schindel (James) of Petersburg, Mark Leifeld (Gina Wright) of Norfolk and Ruth Molt (Rick) of Albion; and his brother-in-law Marvin Atteberry of Treynor, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
