We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2020, at the age of 96, Gertrude Hinkle (Albion, Nebraska), born in Petersburg, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gertrude Hinkle to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Wirges and Louise Wirges (Ketteler); her husband Emery; and her children, Thomas Hinkle and Ann Hinkle.
She is survived by: her children, Janis Bergan of Council Bluffs, IA and Steven Hinkle (Stephanie) of Rocklin, CA; her grandson Joshua Bergan of Council Bluffs, IA; and her siblings, Leonard Wirges (Lorraine) of Rantoul, IL and Eldora Schrad of Columbus, NE. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In consideration of the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, there will be a private family service held with burial at St. John's Cemetery near Petersburg, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
