He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Bartels; his wife Sally Collins; his children, Bill Scarlett (Brenda) of Primrose, NE, Deb Scarlett of Albion, NE, Don Scarlett of Yucca, AZ, Jerry Scarlett (Jeanie) of Columbus, NE, Steve Scarlett of Thorton, CO, Mike Scarlett of Grand Island, NE, Krystal Collins of Albion, NE, Jena Scarlett of Belgrade, NE and James Scarlett of St. Edward, NE; and his sister Betty Rech of San Antonio, TX.. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren with one on the way; 30 great-grandchildren.
