He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olnes and Alma Olnes (Thorberg); his wife Carolyn; his sons, Bill Olnes and Tad Schultz; his siblings, Marvin Olnes, Sr., Lowell Olnes and Janis Coulter; his siblings-in-law, Betty Olnes and Duane Coulter; his children-in-law, Lou Staffaroni and Mary Olnes; his grandchildren, Baby Alexander and Baby Nix; his great grandchild Baby Colbert; and his great-niece Amanda Olnes.
He is survived by: his children, Marjie Staffaroni of Fremont, CA, Diane Waibel (Rudy) of Rio Vista, CA, Claudia Dovedot (Brian) of Campbell, CA, Michael Olnes of St. Edward, NE, Laura Nuckolls (Will) of Hulett, WY, Aric Olnes (Michael Thomas) of Pioneer, CA, Ardell Olnes Jr. of Genoa, NE, Amy Nix of St. Edward, NE and Barbara Matchett (Frank) of Boone, NE; his daughter-in-law Rose Delongi of Delaware; his brother John Olnes (Cynthia) of Anchorage, AK; and his sister-in-law Lavonne Olnes of Plainview, NE. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Albion Vets Club (127 S 3rd St, Albion, NE 68620).
