He is survived by: his wife Cheri Smith; his children, Lenny Fernau (Candi) of Ainsworth, Candy Fernau of Nashville, Julie Cyriacks (Jonathan) of Kearney, Lori Rolfes (Chad) of Vermillion and Janelle Johnson (Mark) of Kilgore, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Reese, Blake, Joslyn Rolfes, Sloan, Salem and Sonny Cyriacks; his sisters, Roberta Painter of Springview and Shelia Bejot of Ainsworth; his mother-in-law Fae Smith; and his brother-in-law Mike Smith (Alice) of Hill City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
