We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2024, at the age of 76, Cynthia L. (Giles) Smith (Ainsworth, Nebraska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Giles and Marylouise Giles (Hanna); her cousins, Mike Giles and Karen Nance (Giles); and her siblings-in-law, Terry Trego (Smith) and Chuck Penington.
She is survived by: her husband Malcolm Stephenson Smith of Ainsworth; her children, George Smith (Kim) of Purdum, Elizabeth Berkland (Justin) of Lincoln, NE, Sarah Smith of Rock Springs, WY and Chester Smith (Andra) of Elsmere; her grandchildren, Jay Smith, Lynn Smith of Omaha, NE, Elizabeth "Libby" Smith of Kearney, NE, Charlie of Elsmere, William of Elsmere and Josie Smith of Elsmere; her sister Alyce Ann Clasen (Giles) of Hot Springs, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Allegra Penington (Smith) of Lincoln and Gary Trego of North Platte, NE. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and their family.
In February 2020, and luckily just prior to the Covid pandemic outbreak, Malcolm and Cindy celebrated 50 years of marriage with their family and friends.
