He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Ann; his children, Vinson Van Engen (Harriet) of Adams and Vicki Obbink (Cliff) of Firth; his grandchildren, Jennifer Van Engen Quackenbush (John), Will, Audrey, Thomas of North Oaks, MN, Maggie Obbink Butterfield (Jeff), Paige, Reed of Roca, NE, Mike Obbink (Mindy), Owen, Easton and Lexi of Waverly, NE; his great grandchildren, Deacon and Lennon Van Engen of Lincoln; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Van Engen of Lincoln, LaVerna Klein of Adams and Janet Weber of Adams.
A memorial has been established to the American Lutheran Church, Adams Rescue Unit, or to a charity of your choice with Melvin Dissmeyer and Jim Hestermann in charge.
