He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emil Ruemelin and Effie Ruemelin (Dodson); his wife Elnore "Babe" Behrens; his grandfather Lloyd; his grandchildren, Craig Fix (Kim), Mindy Marschman, Bret Marschman (Kelsey), Shannon Searcey (Mike Bussmann), Shane Searcey, Luke Parde (Linnea), Nate Parde and Abbie Parde; his sisters, Donna Acton and Bonnie Ward; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Allen and Maxine Behrens; his grandson Corey Fix; his parents-in-law, Ekke and Clara Behrens; his brother Bob Ruemelin; and also, Rita Fix (Calvin) of Cortland, Charlene Marschman (Terry) of Fairbury, Patty Searcey (Max) of Marysville, KS and LaVon Parde (Kevin) of Geneva. He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.

Masks are preferred and social distancing will be observed.

A memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
