He was predeceased by: his parents, Garret Oosting and Mary Oosting (Shoemaker); his siblings, Lorin Oosting and Carol McNeil; and his siblings-in-law, Len Stelmach, Bill Gushard, Jim Horstman, Shirley Horstman and Mabel Oosting.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Oosting of Adams; his children, Harlan Oosting (Janet) of Adams and Sherryl Oosting (Doug) of Lincoln; his siblings, Merl Oosting of Lincoln and Vera Gushard of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Denise Horstman, Lois Stelmach, Esther Oosting, Ron Horstman, Gary Horstman (Darlene) and Joe McNeil. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
