With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hicks of Zap, North Dakota, born in Mullen, Nebraska, who passed away on January 23, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Hicks and Viola Hicks (Sissy Gorsuch); his parents-in-law, Jake and May Prindle; and his brother Bill Hicks.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Prindle of Hyannis, NE; his sons, Jeff (Tami Coleman) of North Platte, NE, John (Kori) of Paxton, NE and Jay (Kelly Hebbert) of Golden Valley, ND.; his grandchildren, Brent Neal, Devin Hicks, Jessica Hicks, Dylan Hicks, Tucker Hicks, Jaylynn Hicks, Jayden Hicks, SIerra Hicks and Jesse Hicks; his stepmother Leila Hicks of Mullen, NE; his sister Dorothy Hardin of Casper, WY; and his sisters-in-law, Artis Hicks of Mullen, NE and Judy Petrick of Grand Island, NE. He is also survived by 3 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and several close friends.
