He is survived by: his former wife Carol Gowin; his wife Carol Heitkamp; his children, Sheila Haberman (Steve) of Fergus Falls, MN, Scott Heitkamp (Mindy), Alan Heitkamp (Trish) and Daniel Heitkamp; his grandchildren, Ben Haberman, Lance Haberman, Alysia Pletschette (Greg), Amber Swenson (Eric), Amy Fulwiler (John), Brandon Heitkamp, Jerod Heitkamp (Briane), Garret Heitkamp, Jaclyn Johnson and Jacob Johnson; his great grandchildren, Mason Haberman, Evan, Jackson Pletschette, Madelyn, Gavin, Cullen Swenson and Emily Fulwiler; and his siblings, Betty Becker, Herb Heitkamp, Eleanor Kruger and Delores English. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
