He was predeceased by: his parents, David Maier and Martha Maier (Fregien); and his brother-in-law Elmer Brosy. He is survived by: his wife Esther; and his sisters, Gladys Brosy of Wishek, ND and Mabel Dalke (Vince) of West Fargo, ND. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His caregiving skills were to be admired, after a 16-year battle with Parkinson's disease, he won the war when God called him home.
