She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Backman and Anna Backman (Hryckow); her husband Chester Johnson; her siblings, Genevieve, Alvina, Norlin, Melvin and Arvid; and her siblings-in-law, Earl Estes and Margaret Backman.
She is survived by: her children, Jinny Iwaniw (Nick), Carol Hollaar (Kevin), Calvin Johnson and Lisa Grosz (Tim); her siblings, Sid Backman (Marlene) and Beverly Estes; her sisters-in-law, Annette, Helen Backman, Verna and Ruth Johnson; her grandchildren, Russell Iwaniw (Miranda), Stephanie Strand (Mike) and Jordan Grosz; and her great grandchildren, Emma Strand, Cooper and Rylee Iwaniw. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
