He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Ewine and Sophie Ewine (Waltos); his siblings, Beverly Ewine, John and Audrey Sims; and his parents-in-law, Andrew and Josie Gregoryk.

He is survived by: his wife Claudia; his children, Deon, Cristin Lawson (James), Dawn Tschetter (Keith) and Cory; and his grandchildren, Jordyn Ewine, Keeliana, Emmi, Delanie Lawson, Kaia and Payton Tschetter.
