He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Altenburg and Alice Altenburg; and his wife Pearl Gaye Ulschak. He is survived by: his children, Susan Thompson, Karen Krenz (Brad), Mark Altenburg and Joan Tangedal (Shane); his grandchildren, Navy, Fiona, Beck, Comstock, Fynn, Sulley, Skyler, Riley, Gabby and Bella; his brother Howard Altenburg (Linda); and his sisters-in-law, Coral O'Connell and Glennys Ulschak.
